ABOUT ABOUT

Excited to participate in this year’s Fringe Festival, but not quite sure what to do next with your marketing efforts? Would you like help creating your guide art or feedback on your description? Don’t worry, we’re here for you!

Join Fringe Festival team members April Rose and Christopher Munden, with PDC member and digital artist, Loretta Gary, for a hands-on workshop all about preparing your marketing materials for the 2019 Philadelphia Fringe Festival!

This session at The Philadelphia Design Center (PDC) is great for any Fringe Festival participants who want a little extra help making their Guide Art and written descriptions the best that they can be in time for the June 3rd submission deadline. We'll also be here to help with any general questions you have about promoting your work throughout the summer!

To best serve you, we are offering two options for you to participate in this workshop:

Hands-On Design Workshop - DIY Guide Art and More!

Learn the basics of graphic design while applying them to your own project. A computer with Adobe Creative Cloud design software will be provided, so all you need to bring are your ideas and any source files (i.e. photos, logos, etc) you may have to get started!

During this session, you will be guided through the Guide Art design process, which includes:

  • reviewing the elements of successful Guide Art;
  • planning your Guide Art to best represent your production;
  • a crash introduction to Adobe design software;
  • and the creation of your own Guide Art so that it is formatted properly and ready for submission!

Your Guide Art provides the visual foundation for your production and can serve as your style reference for the rest of your marketing materials.

SPACE IS LIMITED: Register now to make sure you’re ready for the Fringe Festival’s June 3rd registration deadline and beyond!

Set Your Own Price!

We're excited to be using a Set Your Own Price model for this unique workshop. Our goal is to help as many Fringe Festival participants as possible and do not want cost to be a barrier to anyone's participation, so we're asking you to determine your own contribution!

Suggested Contributions

  • Hands On Design Workshop: $20
  • Fringe Festival Marketing Workshop: $10
  • PDC Member Pricing: FREE

While our ideal is for the suggested contributions listed above to be the  average contribution for this event, we welcome you to contribute an amount that is financially feasible to you. Please trust that the amount you set WILL NOT impact your experience as we aim to assist everyone fairly. Your contribution WILL help us to continue offering programs like this and more! Thank you.
